The Alkatuff LL711UV grade combines the fundamental toughness of linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) with specific UV and thermal stabilisation properties. The base Qenos resin Alkatuff LL711UV conforms to all of the polyethylene requirements as set out in AS/NZS 4766 – Polyethylene storage tanks for water and chemicals – in fact it far exceeds these requirements. Qenos also puts the Alkatuff PE through rigorous testing for performance – tensile, puncture, impact and UV weathering performance, and because PE tanks made with Alkatuff can be suitable for use with drinking water the Alkatuff LL711UV, LL705UV and LL755 grades all have demonstrated compliance to AS/NZS 4020 – testing of products for use in contact with drinking water.
