COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Qenos appreciates the opportunity to get involved with and become part of its local communities.
In line with its Community Right to Know affiliation, Qenos opens its doors to local groups, universities and schools, industry representatives and other visitors, to provide information on its business and to showcase its people, plants and products.
Qenos chemists and engineers participate in STEM programs and other educational forums both here and overseas. Qenos provides financial support in the form of educational scholarships and partners with Western Chances and others, as well as providing ongoing mentorship or career pathway advice to students. In 2022, Qenos participated in the Mount St Joseph Girl's College Careers Expo and has assisted students at Altona College by providing laptops to those in need.
Qenos contributes to the daily life of its communities through sponsorship of local sporting clubs including the Altona Football Club Juniors and Seniors; Altona City and Williamstown Soccer Clubs as well as various golfing tournaments and activities.
We support some of our more adventurous employees who participate in various challenges to raise funds for charities including the International Chamber of Commerce World Cup, the Australian Corporate Games and cycling groups who participate in the Great Victorian Bike Ride; the MS Sydney to the Gong and the Ride to Conquer Cancer.
Qenos has entered team members in a local charity soccer match since its inception where MPs and community members play off against students of Bayside Secondary College in support of local food bank charities.
We regularly support local cultural events such as the Matraville Christmas Carols, the Hobsons Bay Art Society 5 x 7 and the Bayside City Council Garden competition.
Qenos has long partnerships with various charities including MND Victoria and MND Australia, the MAD Foundation, Fight Cancer Foundation, Salvation Army, Cancer Council Victoria and the Royal Children's Hospital.
We are proud of our ongoing partnership with the Hobsons Bay Community Fund who seek to raise funds to assist others in our local communities.
Qenos encourages employees to volunteer their time to assist community members and organisations in need and to participate in environmental, community and charity events.
